Rend Lake Community College offers MS Excell workshops

INA, IL (KFVS) – Rend Lake College Community and Corporate Education will be offering three quick computer workshops on MS Excel.

Quick computer workshops are two day classes that offer instruction in the latest computer software.

The series of Excel classes start with Beginning Excel. Students will learn the fundamentals of Excel including how to use the menu system and toolbars, how to open, reopen, print and close workbooks and enter labels.

Discovering the secrets to adding values and formulas and formatting spreadsheets will also be covered.

Beginning MS Excel will be held 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 11 and 12 at the RLC MarketPlace Room 338 in Mt. Vernon.

The next class in the series is Intermediate MS Excel. Students can broaden their knowledge of Excel by learning how to work with large worksheets, add dramatic graphics, and how to use professional spreadsheets with easy to use templates.

Other topics to be covered include how to protect workbooks, how to manage multiple-sheet works, how to create links and hyperlinks and how to create tables and outlines.

Intermediate MS Excel will be held 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday, March 5 and 7 at the RLC MarketPlace Room 338 in Mt. Vernon.

The last class in the series is Advanced MS Excel. This class will show students how to create PivotTables, time-saving Macros, how to utilize the Financial, Data Analysis, Auditing and other function tools.

Advanced formatting and how to use the analysis tools will also be covered. Students will learn how to collaborate in Excel and how to integrate Excel with other programs.

Advanced MS Excel will be held 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Tuesdays, March 19 and 26 at the RLC MarketPlace Room 338 in Mt. Vernon.
