Police search for minivan that left the scene of Mt. Vernon crash | Crime
MT. VERNON, IL (KFVS) - Police are looking for the driver of a minivan that reportedly left the scene of a crash in Mount Vernon, Illinois.
According to the Mount Vernon Police Department, officers responded to the scene of a personal injury crash Thursday on South 10th street at Borowiaks IGA.
Police say the driver of a minivan left the scene of the crash.
The minivan is described as a "grass green," 2002 or 2003 Chrysler Town and Country Minivan with possible partial registration of A36. Police say the car's front license plate is hanging from the passenger's side of the front bumper mount and it is missing the rear passenger's side-wheel cover.
The vehicle also may have front-end damage. Police say the van was driven by a white female wearing a horizontally striped shirt with two other passengers, possibly high school aged kids, in the vehicle.
The minivan was last seen turning east on Casey towards the high school.
