Mt. Vernon police investigate gas station robbery | News
MOUNT VERNON, IL (KFVS)- The Mt. Vernon Police Department is investigating a reported armed robbery of the Borowiaks IGA Gas Station.
Police say it happened shortly after 8 p.m. on 500 South 10th Street Friday night.
According to investigators, a black male armed with a handgun ran westbound from the scene. A witness reported the suspect got into a small, white vehicle a short distance away.
The suspect was reportedly wearing a tan hooded sweatshirt with the word "Malibu" across the front.
Police say no one was injured during the incident.
