INA, IL (KFVS) - Those pursuing their GED need to be aware of a major change coming to the GED test, and Rend Lake College is encouraging students to finish and pass the test before the end of 2013.

According to RLC, the current version of the GED test will expire at the end of 2013. This version, known as the 2002 Series GED test, will be replaced with the new 2014 GED test on January 2, 2014.

The GED test contains five parts that can be taken separately, but all must be passed to receive a high school credential. Otherwise, their scores will expire, and they will have to start over again with the new 2014 GED test.
